Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

As an electrical engineer, the candidate will be responsible for developing high quality detailed design packages, providing engineering procurement and field technical support to implement those designs, and providing expertise for troubleshooting and technical assessments of plant systems. Design involves the preparation of conceptual engineering deliverables such as cost-estimating bills of material and labor-hour estimates, statements of work, design criteria, and required design output deliverables Design output deliverables include preparation of conduit/cables schedules, conduit/equipment plans, one-line diagrams, wiring/connection/schematic diagrams, various sections/elevations/details, calculations/analyses (load-flow, short-circuit, protective device coordination, and arc-flash), datasheets, equipment specifications, and construction specifications.

The electrical engineer will apply technical expertise and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts in the Electrical Engineering field with a power focus. The electrical design engineer will provide self-performed technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems through the application of established engineering practices and national consensus codes and standards. Candidate must effectively and cooperatively work as a team member of a multi-discipline, integrated project team. Design engineer will routinely perform walkdowns in the existing plant facilities in order to generate design documents and provide field support to craft personnel.
Job Requirements:
- Position may require entry into Materials Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (HRP). If HRP is required, candidate must complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph, pursuant to 10CFR 709. Medical requirements may apply.

Qualification & Experience:

Experience using ETAP power systems analysis software to analyze power distribution systems to generate load-flow, short-circuit, protective device coordination, and arc-flash calculations.

Experience using Bentley MicroStation Computer Aided Design (CAD) software

Knowledgeable in national consensus codes and standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques

Demonstrated experience applying the National Electrical Code

Work experience of 6 to 10 years with 4 years relevant experience in electrical design
Professional Engineering License (PE)
