Job Description:

The City of Stockton Assistant Director of Economic Development assists the Director of Economic Development in all activities throughout the City related to the broad function of the Economic Development Department. The incumbent will have extensive contact with business associations, developers, and neighborhood/community organizations and take an active role in implementing strategy and project development for the entire department.

Job Requirements:

• Possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited
• four (4) year college or university with major course work in urban or regional planning, finance, real estate financing and development, public administration, business administration, political science, economics, or a closely related field
• Three (3) years of lead or supervisory experience which has included responsibility for redevelopment or economic development programs and staff.
• Possession of a Master’s degree in an appropriate field is desirable.
