This position has a Special Entrance Rate of $22.31 per hour / $3867.07 per month

This position may be filled as:
DETAIL: The selected employee may be required to serve a trial detail prior to being permanently promoted.- PROBATIONAL APPOINTMENT: Current permanent status classified State employees may be required to accept a probational appointment, if selected.
- TEMPORARY JOB APPOINTMENT: This position may be filled by temporary job appointment. If filled as a temporary job appointment, should a permanent position become available, the employee may be converted to a probational appointment.
Exams and License Requirements- No Civil Service test score is required in order to be considered for this vacancy.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Four years of experience in pipefitting, steamfitting, or plumbing.
Training in the plumbing, pipefitting, or steamfitting trade will substitute for a maximum of two years of the required experience on a month for month basis.
Function of Work:
To provide supervision, guidance, logistical support and limited administration to a group of plumbers and related jobs performing journeyman level plumbing work.
Level of Work:
Supervisor.
Supervision Received:
Broad review from a maintenance supervisor or agency official of higher level.
Supervision Exercised:
Direct line over Plumber/Pipefitter Master, Plumber/Pipefitters, Trade Apprentices, and related subordinate personnel.
Location of Work:
May be used by all state agencies.
Job Distinctions:
Differs from Plumber Master and related jobs by the presence of full supervisory responsibilities in the plumbing trade.
Assigns and inspects the work of Plumber/Pipefitters and other assigned personnel.
Oversees installation, alteration, maintenance, and repairing of plumbing fixtures and equipment.
Inspects damaged buildings and structures and reviews new plans to determine the materials and plumbing and piping time needed to estimate the cost of repair or construction.
Requisitions material.
Updates and files cost and time records of all projects.
Reads and interprets blueprints.
Performs limited administrative functions: leave approval, time keeping, etc.
Evaluates subordinates work performance.
