Job Responsibilities:

Receives and responds to or redirects telephone inquiries from the public. Reviews and distributes all incoming and outgoing mail. Maintains files of office correspondence, reports and other materials.

Maintains offender visiting records to include card file with up-to-date list of visitors or input visitor information into Offender Based Information System (OBIS).

May distribute disciplinary reports weekly or may gather information needed in order to respond to offender grievances.

Orders supplies and forms as needed.

Types correspondence, reports, memorandums and other departmental data. Composes routine correspondence. Takes and transcribes minutes from staff meetings.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work with highly confidential information
- Knowledge of basic filing practices.
- Ability to operate general office equipment.
- Knowledge of correct spelling, punctuation and grammar usage.
- Knowledge of basic arithmetic.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Ability to comply with strict deadlines
- Skills in typing.
Qualification & Experience:
- Two years of clerical experience or possession of a Certified Professional Secretary Certificate.
- High School Diploma or its equivalen
