Job Responsibilities:

  • Establishes facility supply levels in central storeroom to ensure central and unit storerooms are stocked according to established levels
  • Provides needed management reports to Administration
  • Coordinates with all facility departments and responds to residents’ requests and needs
  • Completes required documentation
  • Performs other related duties as assigned and attends mandatory in-service programs
  • Maintains the facility inventory computer system, proper documentation and records according to Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs (FDVA) standards and procedures
  • Stocks nursing supply rooms to established par levels according to FDVA standards and procedures
  • Records and reports on supplies/equipment received
  • Promptly deliver supplies and equipment to proper department personnel or storerooms as required
  • Inspects storeroom to ensure the equipment and supplies are issued according to schedule and instructions, including coordinating the replacement of storeroom supplies.

Job Requirements:

  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and ‎Outlook)
  • Willingness and ability to work weekends and holidays
  • Successful completion of the due diligence process to include, but not limited to, a Level II background check and drug test
  • ‎Willingness and ability to lift up to 50 pounds, unload supplies, and stock inventory

Qualification & Experience:

  • Inventory control experience
  • Experience using the State of Florida purchasing system (MyFloridaMarketPlace)
  • Employment experience in a long-term care facility or health care environment
  • Experience operating a forklift
  • High school diploma or equivalent
