Bus Driver – State of Colorado Jobs

Job Description:

The driving schedules will be assigned by the Facilities Department at Adams State University.

Job Responsibilities:

• Serving as an institutional bus driver for various purposes.
• This position will transport student-athletes and athletic department staff to away events.
• The successful candidate will be a person of integrity with high ethical standards.
• Our drivers must consistently demonstrate a positive attitude, be open and adaptable to change and must work cooperatively and respectfully.
• The successful candidate for this position will also demonstrate successful passenger bus driving experience, CDL with passenger endorsement.
• Medical Certification. Ability to communicate effectively and exercise good human relations skills in establishing and maintaining effecting working relations with the university community.
• Bus Drivers must comply with all applicable DOT regulations, including submission to drug and alcohol testing.
• Exhibit sound judgment in following safe driving standards; monitor vehicle operation safety (i.e. tire pressure, brakes, lights, wipers, oil and fuel levels, etc.) Serve as a role model for the mission of Adams State University.
• Must enjoy being around people and have a willingness to accommodate a wide constituent pool as the position may require driving board members and college guests in addition to students.
• Must be willing and available for evening and weekend work.

Qualification & Experience:

• Two years of experience operating equipment appropriate to the work assigned to the position.
