Job Description:
The Youth Services Program Specialist is a permanent, full-time position with the Department of Youth Services. Positions are located throughout the state.
Job Responsibilities:
- Employees in this class provide consultative, compliance, and advisory services to community based care and treatment agencies and juvenile justice agencies in an assigned region
Job Requirements:
Qualification & Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant program experience.
- Ability to interpret and apply laws and regulations; knowledge of civil rights laws is helpful. Considerable knowledge and techniques of disseminating information to the public through social and news media; knowledge of grammar, composition and style, composing, editing and producing publications; ability to operate computer technology and public relations programs;
- Ability to research, gather, organize and present oral and written information in a clear, concise and accurate manner; ability to supervise, establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external clients, the media and general public.
