Job Description
The Piedmont Health District is currently seeking a part-time wage Office Services Specialist in Amelia County. This position is not eligible for benefits. All wage employees are limited to working no more than 29 hours per week on average.
This position provides on-site administrative/technical support for WIC Nutritionist securing/verifying information needed for WIC eligibility, maintaining WIC manuals, and compiling WIC reports. Obtains heights, weights and hemoglobin. Assists with WIC nutrition education classes. Additional responsibilities include providing administrative support for other health department programs, answering program-related questions, explaining charges, collecting payments and scheduling visits. Position is home-based in Amelia, but also provides back-up for other Counties in the District as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of general office procedures.
Direct customer service knowledge/experience.
Basic computer skills.
A valid drivers license.
Preferred Qualifications
Basic knowledge of WIC /other Public Health Programs.
Previous medical office experience.
Special Requirements
