Custodial Worker (MVO) – National Park Jobs

Job Description:

These positions may be filled for a six month seasonal period, but can be vary due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty: March-July 2022.

Job Responsibilities:

• This position perform the full range of custodial work including: cleaning and servicing vault toilets, buildings, campgrounds, and emptying trash receptacles.
• These positions are required to operate a government vehicle to perform assigned work and may provide general labor assistance to others in the maintenance of buildings, grounds, roads, trails, etc. These are uniformed positions and must be able to respond to visitors politely.

Job Requirements:

• You may be required to complete training and operate a four-wheel drive vehicle.
• Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication.
• Depending on location, part-time work schedules may be available.
• Depending on location, government housing may be available.
• You may be required to wear a uniform and comply with the National Park Service uniform standards. A uniform allowance will be provided.
• You may be required to complete training and obtain/maintain a government charge card with travel and/or purchase authority.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Selectee will be required to participate in the Direct Deposit Electronics Funds Transfer Program.
• You may be required to travel overnight away from home occasionally.
• Meet Selective Service Registration Act requirement for males.
• You may be required to work on-call, evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime and/or shift work.

• Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (SCREEN OUT)
• Work Practices (including keeping things neat, clean, and in order)
