Job Description:
The LNG operations department operates and manages LNG peak-shaving plants in the MA, RI, and NY service territories. This internship position will give you an opportunity to work with the Rhode Island LNG team, who is responsible for operating and managing LNG facilities within our Providence, RI service territory. The Rhode Island LNG team is responsible for the safety, compliance, reliability, and efficiency of operation at these plants.
Job Responsibilities:
- Verifying and revising field P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation drawings)
- Assisting plant staff with mechanical work and repairs around the plant.
- Assisting plant supervisors with document reviews including procedures, work proposals, training modules, etc.
- Assist with sorting, organizing & filing as well as other administrative tasks
- Collaborate and interact with other departments such as Compliance and Training, Process Safety, Engineering etc.
- Assist in various capacities with ongoing projects at the plant(s)
Job Requirements:
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Applicant must have accumulated 18 or more credits and be 18 years of age
- Applicant must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States
- Currently being registered as a full-time student in a college or university
- Continuing your education full time for the Fall 2022 semester
- Must have a valid U.S. Driver’s License
