Job Description:

Incumbent in this position is responsible for overseeing the operations of the bureaus and divisions of the Airport Police Group to preserve peace and protect the public. Airport Police Operations are conducted in accordance with FAA regulations.

Job Requirements:

  • Must possess and maintain a valid Missouri driver’s license while employed by the City of St. Louis.  Must possess a valid driver’s license at the time of filing application and be able to present it upon request.  Please note type of license, number, class and expiration date on the Employment Application.
  • Must be certified or eligible for certification as a Police Officer by the State of Missouri.
  • Must be deputized or eligible for deputization as a Police Officer by St. Louis County, Missouri.

Qualification & Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, or a related  field; plus four years of command experience at the rank of Airport Police Lieutenant or higher.  OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
