Job Description:

Under direct supervision performs the following custodial services and maintenance of assigned buildings:

Job Responsibilities:

• Vacuum and clean the carpet
• Collect trash and recyclables and place in appropriate dumpster
• Clean and disinfect, classrooms, common areas, restrooms and restock
• Mop, sweep, scrub and wax floors and other surfaces
• Wash windows, door glass and interior glass
• Clean, dust and wax furniture exhibit cases, fixtures, window sills, doors, trim and related items
• Operate automatic scrubbers and sweepers
• Report equipment in need of repair to supervisor staff
• Remove snow and provide salt at all building entrances
• Perform related duties as assigned
• Perform special clean-ups when requested due to accidents or emergencies

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have a valid state issued driver’s license.
• Must have the ability to comprehend basic written and verbal instructions
