Job Description:
The Equity Programs Coordinator supports the coordination, scheduling and execution of programming for students in the Equity Project and Family Economic Security Program (FESP) at Housatonic Community College. These Equity Programs focus on increasing access and retention for under-represented students and providing holistic and wrap-around supports to ensure a strong campus connection, and greater understanding of opportunities to learn, grow and thrive.
Job Responsibilities:
- Incumbents must possess proven ability to effectively work with a culturally, linguistically, and ethnically diverse faculty, staff, and student.
- They are expected to have excellent oral and written communication skills along with strong Information technology literacy skills such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams etc.)
Job Requirements:
- Experience with project and program management.
- Experience with working with vendors.
- Experience supporting at-risk students.
- Experience working in an urban Community College setting.
