Job Description:
This position serves as a Program Specialist supporting the planning, organizing, and managing of complex projects to inform the development of FAA regulations, policies, and programs in support of the integration of new and emerging aviation concepts and technology, such as Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) concepts into the National Airspace System (NAS).
Job Responsibilities:
- Provides guidance to less experienced professionals in the day-to-day operations.
- Works across organizational lines with individuals at all levels within FAA to share information such as proposed policy, strategic plans, and decisions on implementing policies, and requirements associated with new FAA programs and processes that support UAS policies.
- Provides information and explain the application of policies and procedures, which ensures the successful completion of UAS integration deliverables.
- Provides program data for use in the informal and formal presentation on critical UAS integration objectives to agency leadership.
- Communicates with industry stakeholders to obtain information on industry’s objectives and priorities and to share information on FAA priorities with regards to UAS integration objections.
- Attends project meeting and periodic reviews to explain the application of FAA policies and procedures related to UAS.
