Job Description:
The Specialist in of Community College Acceleration Program (CCAP) and SNAP to Skills provides support for the implementation and stewardship of the Community College Acceleration Program. This program aims to assist Columbus State Community College students, eligible for SNAP Education & Training benefits, with educational program expenses, transportation costs, and linkage to additional community supports. This position assists the work of developing and maintaining relationships with multiple diverse partner agencies; this role supports the fiscal and program operations as well as reporting requirements associated with CCAP.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain the confidentiality of student information in accordance with Higher Education FERPA.
- Manage multiple assignments of varying complexity while meeting Federal, as well as internal (SAFS, College, etc.) regulations and procedures, with the ability to adapt to changing needs of the College and business partners.
- Attend all required department meetings and training. Hours may include working outside of a normal workweek schedule as well as weekend availability on an as-needed basis.
Job Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication; organization; customer service; conflict resolution; application of job software including word processing and spreadsheets; customer service; creating functional report formats; performing mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, decimals, percentages, and fractions.
- Ability to: develop and maintain effective working relationships with employees, leaders, vendors, students, telephone users, and the general public; maintain confidential and sensitive information; use good judgment;
- Perform complex tasks and prioritize multiple projects; listen and participate in collaborative work;
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across the College; effectively work with persons of varying cultures and diversity; problem solve effectively; exhibit a pleasant public manner and telephone etiquette; originate correspondence; work independently.
- High School Diploma or GED and two (2) years of experience in a customer service role, higher education, or similar experience.
