Job Description:

This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), United States Coast Guard (USCG), Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC), Business Operations Division (BOD), in Baltimore, Maryland.

Job Responsibilities:

• Developing, and implementing project management procedures, tools, templates, activities, and infrastructure.
• Establishing guidelines and performance expectations for staff members, which are clearly communicated through the formal employee performance management system.
• Resolving informal complaints and grievances. Developing work improvement plans, recommending personnel actions as necessary. Providing advice and counsel to workers related to work and administrative matters.
• Conducting IT strategic planning and project management activities. Facilitating teams in conducting analyses, developing goals, objectives, and strategies, and in other strategic, tactical, and business planning activities.
• Monitoring the performance of a variety of duties related to information technology (IT) projects involving program-related issues that contain complicating elements.
• Recommending, designs, develops, and implements marketing policies and program strategies to promote information technology (IT) services and products, Developing long and short-range marketing strategies, including budget projects, and prepares annual marketing plans and budget forecast.
• Observing workers’ performance; demonstrates and conducts work performance critiques.
• Performing the administrative and human resource management functions relative to the staff supervised.
• Creating position descriptions, conducts interviews and selects employees for authorized positions.

Job Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• The position requires a valid state driver’s license.
• Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service.

Qualification & Experience:

• Experience managing all IT purchases for a large command.
• Experience managing cellular resources for a large command.
• Experience managing large projects including IT hardware and software relocations.
