Job Description:
This position works closely with the Director of Human Resources and Legal Counsel and will coordinate complex labor relations activities.
Job Responsibilities:
- The successful candidate will be effective in conducting research for negotiations, summarizing data, and developing innovative proposals.
- The incumbent will work in a robust team environment, partner closely with other City supervisors, and deliver labor relations services that impact employees.
- This assignment is fast-paced and involves effectively working with union leadership, understanding and interpreting City policies and procedures, and applying employment and labor relations laws.
Job Qualification:
- At least three years of professional experience in centralized human resources work.
- Some experience must include labor relations work for this assignment.
- An equivalent combination of education and professional HR certification(s),
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Public or Business Administration, or a related field;
- Master’s degree in a related area.
- Experience in government or public sector human resources.
