Job Description:

Under close supervision of the Maintenance Worker, this position will perform asphalt repair, crack sealing, weed and litter abatement, and public works maintenance duties; and perform related duties as required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Cleans up work sites upon completion of job.
• Asphalt repair
• Crack sealing
• Maintain records.
• Perform routine public works maintenance duties.
• Provide quality customer service.
• Operate small power tools and equipment.

Job Requirements:

• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Provide quality customer service.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Understand and carry out oral and written instructions in a timely manner.
• Operate street repair maintenance equipment.
• Maintain a courteous attitude when dealing with the public.
• Bend, stoop, climb, and lift 50 pounds.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualification & Experience:

• A typical way of obtaining the knowledge, skills and abilities outlined above is graduation from high school or G.E.D equivalent;
• Prior experience in street repair and/or public works maintenance work is preferred; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
