Job Description:
The Safety Data Manager is responsible for managing safety data, incident reports, statistical analysis, monthly reports, and safety databases. The Safety Data Manager may assist in the management of consultant staff and is responsible for creating trend reporting data for incidents.
Job Responsibilities:
- This position is also responsible for managing the work of the Safety Management System (SMS) while identifying trends, patterns, risks, and hazards throughout BWI Marshall Airport and Martin State Airport in collaboration with different departments, contractors, and tenants.
- This position will involve investigative work, fieldwork, research, and surveys to support job duties and industry trends.
- These functions are used to achieve the successful implementation of the four pillars of safety which include: Safety Policy, Safety Risk, Safety Assurance, and Safety Promotion.
Qualification & Experience:
- Additional experience in administrative or professional work may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
- Additional graduate-level education at an accredited college or university may be substituted at the rate of 30 semester credit hours on a year-to-year basis for the required general experience.
- Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience involving staff work related to the administration of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and processes, or overseeing or coordinating unit operations or functioning as a staff assistant on a year-for-year basis for the required education and experience.
