Job Description:

The Senior Finance Manager is a key member of the Finance Capital Renewal Program responsible for the financial planning and analysis activities of the program portfolio. The Senior Finance Manager will have responsibilities for assigned projects and/or business partners and will drive process improvements with key stakeholders. Key duties include business partnering, monthly closing responsibilities, 5-year annual operating plan, current year annual operating plan, monthly forecast, financial analysis, financial modeling, and financial reporting. Finance Manager should work independently and makes recommendations to the business to improve results and processes.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for monthly forecasts and financial analysis.
  • Support department cross training with other team members and act as a back-up to Senior managers as necessary
  • Understand workforce analytics and the impact in the forecast and budget for assigned projects.
  • Build financial models and perform financial analysis around fleet, major infrastructure / real estate projects and labor.
  • Support process improvements initiatives with other areas of the company, EPMO, A/R, Procurement, PMO, and others.
  • Support the development of business KPI’s that will help manage the business
  • Prepare, distribute, and present reporting packages to Business Partners and Senior Leadership Executives.
  • Serve as the finance liaison between the Capital Renewal Program team, Capital Delivery and Corporate Finance and Accounting. Communicate finance/accounting matters to non-finance personnel and communicate how they performance affect the results of the programs.
  • Responsible for supporting and help develop the Annual Operating Plan for the renewal program portfolio of projects using trends and management feedback to develop bottoms up budget.
  • Support ad-hoc reporting and analysis for Capital Delivery, Finance Ops Engineering, Accounting and corporate as necessary
  • Understand business risks and opportunities that can impact the financial goals of the Capital Delivery Team. Influence the drivers of the financial results and provide strategic feedback.
  • Responsible for the monthly close for project portfolio. Coordinate/prepare journal entries for the monthly close. Understand variance to forecast as soon as possible and reach out to business partners as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • Demonstrated understanding of organizational systems and techniques of analysis
  • Demonstrated knowledge of budgeting, Capital and accounting principles, knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning systems like Oracle and SAP.
  • Demonstrated skills using PC-based applications (MS Office Suite), web-based collaboration tools, and familiarity of financial and business systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, coordinate and review the work related to budget preparation, capital planning and administrative projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Qualification & Experience:

  • 8-10 years’ experience working in an accounting and/or finance field.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, and/or Economics.
