Job Description:
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as lead DSCA planner at the component command headquarters level as recognized subject matter expert (SME) in the Plans and Policy Directorate.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducts and oversees the completion of detailed studies in response to NORAD-USNORTHCOM requests and prepare executive summaries, information papers, and briefings for internal and external audiences.
- Applying Air Force experience analyzes major Air Force DSCA/HD mission sets to provide planning, programming, and policy guidance and to facilitate the identification and determination of alternative ways to achieve the best mix of forces, equipment, and support attainable, within fiscal constraints, for major mission, operational and Combatant Commander (CCDR) plans.
- Performs ongoing evaluation and analysis of the operational planning and execution actions, and policy actions in support of major Air Force mission and CCDR/operational plans.
- Represents the command on Plans and Policy issues with a variety of military and Federal Government organizations.
Job Requirements:
- This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.
- May travel by military or commercial air to conferences, meetings, or other functions away from the duty site.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Civil emergency management experience/background is desirable.
- Disclosure of Political Appointments
- This is a Centrally Managed Position-PCS expenses if authorized will be paid IAW JTR and Air Force Regulations
- Males must be registered for Selective Service, see www.sss.gov
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship Required
- This position is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program
